Humble, Sad, Meek, Hungry, Merciful, Holy, Peacemakers, Harassed
Matthew 5
1And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
2And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
3Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
5Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
6Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
7Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
8Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
9Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
10Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
Happiness is…

I am still working my way through these, they have been a huge blessing to me. And probably half the truckstop. I know everyone can hear these on my speakers booming through the hallways at work. lol Now if I could just figure out how to pipe them through the musak we would have it made.
You know I noticed that since I play the audio bible at work, when people come in they are really uncomfortable. They shuffle around and apologize for cursing. That never happened before, they would still curse and say “oh sorry”. Now it’s like they stop halfway through. It’s cool to watch that happen.
This was just a really good series…It’s funny how people do that huh B.
It is funny! They know the truth deep down inside. We all did even before we embraced it.
Yup. So true.
Hullo I’ve been lurking the website lots of times – Wanted to say thanks for all the information
You bet and welcome.
I think I am going to enjoy listening to these.
Hey girls, I’m back! Boy have I missed and thought about you guys! My husband was offered a temporary job back in Feb and the very next day was off to Tennessee with my computer. Luckily, he just got a more permanent job here in GA. And they have supplied him with his own computer. So I have the means to go online once again. Yippee! I hope that you are all doing well because I really have thought about y’all so often.
Kit, I love your new look!
Lisa! Holy Moly!!!! How the heck are ya! What’s new? How are the kids? How’s Jr? How’s your husbands new job? Oh, so much to catch up on!
Oh these are really good. I think you’ll really really like them…ps…I like the sunflowers too!
I’m doing fine, and so are the kids. I cannot even begin to tell you how many times Jr. has asked about you. I’ve been very busy lately trying to prepare the house for the impending arrival of the next one. He is due any time now, and bless his heart, he doesn’t even have a name picked out for him yet. Tim and I can’t seem to agree on one, so we’ve been calling him NoName or LaFayette.
Thank God, Tim finally found a job in the state! The only drawback is that he has to drive about 110 miles one way to get there. But we are both so grateful he has that job! So many of his friends have been laid off, too, and haven’t been as fortunate.
Tell me how you’ve been and how things are going with you. You have so many interesting things posted here that I don’t know where to begin. I’m just going to have to browse for awhile I guess.
I wanted to ask about Jr. Jr….as opposed to Jr., but I didn’t know if everything was ok! Last I knew is you were hogging up the trashcan and toilet!I’m so glad he’s healthy and on his way. So are you going to name him LaFayette??? lol.
I’ve been good. Just same ol’ stuff, workin’, golfin’, and hangin out with the Kid. We got a new dog and named him Petey. Our Cleo died in June and so we had another spot and Petey has made himself quite at home. He’s a cutie. Border Collie mix of sorts.
Browse away! lol
Oh Lisa…remember we were talking about this subject last year…babies and heaven…well, I found this stuff!
http://kittykit.wordpress.com/2009/08/14/heiser-and-macarthur-what-happens-to-babies-the-unborn-and-others-when-they-die/
Thanks for the link. That just happens to be one of the posts I was browsing.
I remember the days of hugging the trashcan well. I really thought they would never end, but, thankfully, they did. I lost nearly ten pounds because of it, so I feel like I have a bit more licsense to eat whatever I want now.lol Surprisingly, altogether, I haven’t gained that much weight with LaFayette – only 8-10 lbs. I gained 60 with my daughter, and about 45 with Jr. (and he was a month early). It took me the better part of a year to lose it with Sarah, and almost 2 years with Jr. and I don’t want to go through that again.
I’ve felt much better during the 2nd half of this pregnancy – just hormonal. Poor Tim, he has to put up with me crying for almost no reason. This is a new experience for both of us because I rarely cry. I think the hardest part has been having him gone for so long, and being so lonely. Until recently, I’ve felt like a knocked up single parent.lol
Now I’m just hoping I’ll go into labor before the doctor decides to C-section me. I do not want another one of those, but the doc says they don’t want to let me go past my due date (something about my advanced age), and they won’t induce because apparently inductions aren’t safe if you’ve ever had a C-section. Who knew? Other than castor oil, I can’t think of another way to bring on labor. Any ideas?
Glad to see you back Lisa! Looks like God has really been taking care of you and your family.
Hi Lisa! Sure is nice to see you here, and it’s nice to hear all is well with your family.
Stand on your head while eating saltines and sing mary had a little lamb. Works every time!
